What we love Slick and smooth new automatic Much needed added safety equipment Simple and no-frills range What we don't Cabin comfort and visibility compromised Fuel consumption I have a 5 year old Fiat Ducato PVC with the 150 engine and Comfortmatic. I usually drive large estates (Volvo and BMW since 2004) with auto gearboxes and powerful engines so am used to comfort, power and good handling. I thought that I would find a Fiat Ducato, in comparison, to be slow, cumbersome, noisy and uncomfortable with poor handling. Location. Norfolk. Jun 24, 2007. #1. Hi all, This is my first post to this Forum, hope someone can be of help. I have a 2004 Ducato 2.8jtd Motorhome (bought from new) which has done 62k kms. Just had it in for its 1st MoT and annual service, the garage reckons theres a slight leak around the diesel fuel pump, which they reckon will need replacing. The Ducato uses Fiat’s 2.3-litre 4 cylinder turbo diesel MultiJet II engine for motivation and it’s available in a couple of different outputs. The MultiJet 130 puts out 96kW at 3,600rpm with 320Nm of torque at 1,800rpm, this powerplant uses a waste-gated turbocharger to handle forced induction duties. This latest Ducato is available with a choice of Euro 6D 2.3-litre engines with either 120bhp, 140bhp, 160bhp and 180bhp outputs. As previously, it is likely the lowest output will only be available in campervans, while the three higher outputs will be available in motorhomes. The new MultiJet 2 engines feature a new turbocharger which allows Depends of course if you are looking at Fiat vans or the Citroen or Peugeot derivatives which may have Ford (?) engines. Judging from forum posts the 2.3 JTD engine which replaced the 2.8 on Fiat vans seems to be a solid engine with any unreliability issues arising from the increasingly more stringent and complex emission control add-ons required for later Euro 5 & 6 regulations My 2009 build Hi, 2017 2.3 multijet running perfectly but with code B0311 Anybody know what this code is Thanks in advance Mar 27, 2021. Hi, I have a 2009 2.3 multi jet, has anyone changed the egr valve on one of these using ramps ( like car ramps) the back 2 bolts are right at the back of the engine and one article I have read says that one of them needs to be accessed from underneath whilst it is on ramps. 1. I'm in the middle of dispute with a trader who sold me a 2.3 ducato from 2014 which appears to be clocked by a significant number of miles. I suspect that the engine has been swapped due to its state which is rather poor in comparison to other components under the bonnet. I am about to buy a 2007 Motorhome from a dealer who said the interval for cambelt change is 7 years for the 2.3 130 Multijet Fiat Engine. Does anyone have a handbook that states this or is it 5 years as I have understood it in the past? I spoke to North East Trucks who are our Local Fiat Garage they did our modification for the "Fiat Judder mbgwPU.
